Groups from the source
Access exists when the allowed groups of an item and those of a user overlap. Groups come from the source, such as a channel, a shared drive or a team. Staff changes therefore do not touch a single item.

Derived knowledge inherits the intersection
Knowledge drawn from several sources is only visible to those allowed to see all of them. It can be stricter than any single source.

Links only when both ends are visible
A link between two things is only visible to someone allowed to see both.

If a source reports a permission change late, someone may briefly miss something they may see, but never sees something they may not.

Built to pass a works council,
not to monitor people.
